1. Banana hair potion mask

Take one or two over-ripe banana (according to your hair length), remove the middle parts that contain lumps and seeds and mash into a smooth paste. Lumps and seeds are sticky and stubborn to go away after hair wash. Apply the paste on your scalp and roots and work them towards the tips. Make sure all the hair is covered. Now, unless you have very small hair, try to arrange them in a bun and cover it with a shower cap. This will help the mask from falling out. Keep the mask on your hair and wash off with a mild chemical free shampoo.

2. Banana hair mask using banana baby food puree

If time is a constraint, you can also use some banana baby food puree, which is equally effective. The directions of application are similar to applying ripe mashed banana. It is less messy and is free from lumps and seeds. This means you are less likely to find banana bits on your hair while combing your hair after a wash. 3. Banana, coconut oil and honey hair mask.

When it comes to hair care, coconut oil has no comparison. When the goodness of banana and coconut oil comes together, the ultimate hair potion is created. In order to prepare this hair mask, you will need one ripe banana (de-seeded and finely mashed), 2 tablespoon coconut oil and half a tablespoon honey. Honey locks moisture within the hair follicles and keeps them frizz-free. You can repeat this hair mask once in fifteen days.

4. Papaya and banana hair mask

Papaya promotes hair growth and strength. The nutrition rich fruit, which is also loaded with antioxidants, also works as an anti-dandruff agent. Mash together a small piece of ripe papaya and ripe banana and apply evenly on your scalp and hair. You can also add some honey into it for its hydrating properties. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash off with a mild shampoo. Apply this papaya and banana hair mask once a month to get that silky-shine effect.

5. Yogurt and banana hair mask

Yogurt is loaded with fatty acids, protein and vitamins that nourishes our hair, keeps them healthy, and promotes hair growth as well. To prepare the mask, you will need one ripe banana (mashed) and two tablespoon yogurt. You can also add an egg yolk, which is optional. Blend together all the ingredients and apply on your scalp and hair. This yogurt and banana hair mask helps in relaxing frizz and keeps them softer and shinier for longer. Yogurt also maintains the pH balance of our scalp. This banana hair mask can be used once a week.

6. Banana and methi (fenugreek) hair mask

This hair mask not just removes frizz and tangles but also gives your hair an ultra-sleek shine and texture similar to a high-end hair serum. Fenugreek is an effective ailment for follicular problems. The slippery and silky texture of fenugreek gives your hair a smooth and glossy coat. Soak one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds overnight. Make a fine paste, the next day. Mash an over-ripe banana and add together both the ingredients. Keep the mask on your hair for 30 to 45v minutes and then wash off thoroughly with water. Bits of both banana and fenugreek may remain in the hair. Comb very well and wash off again with a mild shampoo and conditioner, the following day. This hair mask can be repeated every fifteen days.
