Shift the contents into a bottle and apply on your scalp twice a week.

Epsom Salt Cleansing

Epsom salt is enriched with magnesium and helps in reducing itchiness and inflammation of the scalp. It also absorbs the excess oil secreted from the scalp. Take one teaspoon of Epsom salt and mix it with the portion of shampoo that you use during a wash. Apply the mixture on your scalp and hair and leave on for 2 to 3 minutes. Massage well and wash off thoroughly. You can apply this cleanser once a week.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar contain a acetic acids which helps in maintaining the pH levels of the scalp and control the secretion of too much oil. Dilute 2 to 3 tablespoons of the vinegar in a cup of water and wash your scalp with it. Let it remain in the scalp for 5 minutes. Wash your hair and scalp thoroughly afterwards. You can apply it every alternate days or twice a week.

Coconut Oil

Apply warm coconut oil on your hair and scalp and massage gently. It is best to use virgin coconut oil that has all the essential nutrients to nourish the hair and scalp. Leave it on for about an hour and then wash off with a mild sulfate-free shampoo. Coconut oil helps in keeping the hair follicles hydrated without and at the same time balances the sebum production. You can apply coconut oil once a week.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has strong astringent properties. It also nourishes the scalp and hair and at the same time, prevents the secretion of excess oil. Take two teaspoons of fresh aloe Vera gel and squeeze a few drops of lemon juice into it. Now add two tablespoons of water to it and stir well. Apply it on your Use your hair after cleansing it with a mild shampoo. Leave it about five minutes and then wash off. You can apply this aloe Vera hair mask once in week to get rid of oily scalp.

Green Tea

Green tea is enriched with polyphenols which are powerful antioxidants. Applying green tea on the scalp helps in reducing the production of excess oil. Take one cup water and boil it. Add 2 tablespoons of green tea and let it simmer for a few minutes. Use a strainer to separate the leaves and apply the fluid on your scalp as well as hair. Leave it for half an hour and then wash off with water.

Baking Soda

Baking Soda has alkaline properties and works like a dry shampoo. It helps in absorbing excess sebum from the scalp and maintains its pH balance. Take 1 to 2 tablespoons of baking soda according to your hair length and apply on your scalp and hair. Keep it for 5 minutes and then wash off with water. Alternatively, you can also mix it with your regular shampoo. Baking soda can be used to cleanse the scalp and hair once a week.
