It’s summer season and the King of fruits is here –MANGOES!! I am sure most of us do not like summers much, but we look forward to only the best part about summers and that is we get to eat our favourite yummy fruit- Mangoes.

The first word that comes to our minds when we hear "mango" is - DELICIOUS. But did you know that Mangoes are not only delicious to eat but they also have several benefits for our skin too. Since it has Vitamin C in abundance, it nourishes our skin and gives a glowing look to it. It is also rich in fibre and antioxidants. 

Although it is so effective for getting a smooth and soft skin, very few of us might be using it as a face pack or a face scrub. We use several other fruits, vegetables, cereals, spices and what not from our kitchen and garden, to get the flawless skin and glow on our skin, but have seldom thought of using mangoes for this purpose. So next time when you buy mangoes, make sure you get an extra one to make a face pack from it.

Here is a quick DIY face pack which will help you get the super glow on your skin. It is an old therapy from the "grandmother’s collection" so you can be rest assured about its effectiveness and the difference can be felt right from the first application itself!


Follow the steps given below to prepare the magical mango face pack-

  1. Take the pulp of a fully ripe mango.
  2. Add about 1 tea spoon of curd to it.
  3. Then add a little rose water or normal water.
  4. Next add about 3 tea spoons of multani mitti to it.
  5. Mix all these ingredients well with a blender or in a mixer grinder to make a thick paste of it.
  6. Apply this paste on your face and neck evenly.
  7. Leave for about 20 to 25 minutes.

    Let it dry.
  8. After it dries up, use a few drops of cold water to scrub it gently for 2 to 3 minutes.
  9. Lastly, rinse with cold water.

Mango is the most delicious fruit for me but be careful not to eat in excess to avoid bad side effects, especially those who are watching their blood sugar and uric acid.


Yes.. that's true. Mangoes can have side effects for people with diabetes. However, in this article i have only mentioned about the face pack mainly.
