Face Clean Up At Home: Steps to Follow for Proper Face Clean Up
Easy Steps To Do A Face Clean Up At Home
Everyone wishes to have a beautiful and glowing skin. But we often feel that our skin has lost the charm it had. We feel the need to get a face clean up done but do not find the time or are just lazy to go to a salon. In this article I have penned down the steps to do a face clean up at home itself.
We all wish for a clean and glowing skin. But our skin loses the charm over a period of time because of dust, pollution, chemicals in our creams, etc. Getting a facial or a face clean up done is a good solution to get our skin glow back. But to take out time from our busy lives to visit a salon is difficult nowadays. Over and above these are quite expensive affairs too to get it done on a regular basis. And not to mention, at times we are just lazy to move out of our house and go to a salon.
To overcome all these problems, below are a few steps that can be followed to do a face clean up at home yourself.
STEPS FOR FACE CLEAN UP AT HOME
1. Cleaning your face
The first step to start a face clean up is by cleansing the face thouroughly. Wash your face well with a face wash and pat dry with a towel. Then take a few drops of cleansing milk in a cotton ball and wipe your face with it. Alternatively, normal milk can also be used for this.
2. Steam
Next step is to take steam for about 5 minutes. Pour boiled water in a vessel and keep your face a little away from it. Let the steam touch your face from about 6-8 inches of distance. Steam softens the skin, opens the pores and so it helps to remove the dirt and blackheads easily.
3. Scrub
After taking steam, it becomes very easy to scrub off the blackheads, whiteheads and other dirt from our skin. You can use any scrub available with you to scrub your face. Alternatively, a mixture of salt and sugar or sugar and honey can also be used. For stubborn balckheads, you can also use a tweezer.
Scrub your face for about 3-4 minutes gently. Concentrate particularly on the areas below your nose, on the chin and forehead. Rinse with water.
4. Face pack
After steaming and scrubbing there migt be a slight burning sensation. To cool down and bring our skin back to normal, applying a face pack is necessary. It also gives the additional glow to the clean and clear skin.
Any face pack can be used here; whether a readymade face pack or a home made. Some of the options for home made face packs are by mixing-
- Multani mitti and rose water
- Besan (gram flour) and rose water or normal water
- Besan, multani mitti and rose water
- orange peel powder and milk
- neem powder and water
- malai (fat layer of milk)
When you apply face pack and are waiting for it to dry, in the meantime you can also place cucumber slices or cotton dipped in cold water on your eyes. This will relax you and reduce eyes puffiness. It also gives a soothing effect.
Once the face pack is dry, wash with cold water and pat dry.
5. Toner and Moisturisation
After washing the face pack, apply a toner using a cotton ball. Alternatively, ice or rose water can also be used. This will give a cooling effect and also tighten the pores.
The entire process of clean up makes your skin feel dry and so moisturisation is the last and an important step. Use your regular moisturiser and massage it well on your face in upward circular direction.
You will find an instant change in the look and feel of your face skin. If this clean up is done on a regular basis, say once in a fortnight, it will work wonders for your skin.
So go ahead and try doing a clean up in the comfort of your home and with easily avaialble materials and see your skin changing beautifully.
