I personally find that eating two to three slices of fresh ice cold pineapple a day contains just that right amount of antioxidants to help relieve the inflammation in my digestive tract naturally so I do not have too many flare ups and find myself running to the bathroom all the time in pain. Pineapples also contain high amounts of vitamin C, which helps support the immune system and helps treat irritable bowel syndrome naturally.

Instead, they should consult with a doctor to find another solution that is best for them. Overall, pineapples are wonderful whole foods to eat to help keep the digestive system healthy and running smoothly, but they can cause your tongue to feel sore and irritated if eaten in high amounts due to the high amount of acid in them.
